On the 5th, At Home Co., Ltd. announced the commencement of API integration for property data between their "At Home Vacant House Bank" and the "Sanjo City Vacant House and Land Bank" operated by Sanjo City in Niigata Prefecture since January.
The city renewed its "Sanjo City Vacant House and Land Bank" website in 2022 and has been actively addressing the issue of vacant houses and land, even initiating efforts to uncover vacant houses in 2023. Through this collaboration, updates made to properties in the "At Home Vacant House Bank" by municipal officials will automatically reflect in the "Sanjo City Vacant House and Land Bank," thereby reducing the workload associated with registering, updating, and publishing property information for the municipality.
Of the properties registered in the city's vacant house and land bank, the proportion of purchases by residents outside the prefecture has not reached 20%. However, there has been an increase in inquiries from non-local residents about using vacant houses in recent years. Therefore, there are expectations that the collaboration with the "At Home Vacant House Bank" will contribute to promoting migration by utilizing vacant houses.
The "At Home Vacant House Bank" initiative started in 2017, aligning with the efforts of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism to revitalize the circulation of vacant houses and land. As of the end of 2023, the number of participating municipalities has exceeded 750.
