In April, REINS saw a decrease in new registrations for the first time in three months.

In April, the Real Estate Transaction Promotion Center, a public corporation, announced the utilization status of the designated transaction organization (REINS) on the 20th of the month in 2024.

The number of new registrations decreased for the first time in three months to 349,618 (a decrease of 0.6% compared to the same month last year). The number of contract reports increased to 52,620 (up 4.1% from the previous year), marking a continuous increase for 12 months. The total number of registrations reached 845,147 (up 1.5% from the previous year), marking a continuous increase for 13 months and a positive comparison with the previous month for the first time in five months.

Regarding properties for sale, the number of new registrations increased for the 16th consecutive month to 125,446 (up 7.9%). Contract reports reached 16,400 (an increase of 11.1%), marking an increase for the 11th consecutive month. The total number of registrations reached 414,477 (up 16.6%), marking a continuous increase for 23 months.

For rental properties, the number of new registrations decreased for the 26th consecutive month to 224,172 (down 4.8%). Contract reports increased for the 12th consecutive month to 33,862 (up 1.0%). The total number of registrations reached 436,700 (down 9.7%), marking a decrease for the 20th consecutive month compared to the same period last year.

Regarding the number of transactions for properties for sale by transaction type, among new registrations, mediation contracts increased to 81,322 (up 7.3%). The breakdown includes exclusive mediation contracts at 11,917 (up 1.9%), designated mediation contracts at 42,636 (up 7.2%), and general mediation contracts at 26,769 (up 10.0%). There were 42,097 sellers (up 9.2%) and 2,027 agents (up 8.8%).

For contract reports, mediation contracts reached 13,458 (up 9.1%). Among them, exclusive mediation contracts were at 2,538 (down 1.0%), designated mediation contracts were at 8,908 (up 10.5%), and general mediation contracts were at 2,012 (up 17.7%). There were 2,872 sellers (up 21.6%) and 70 agents (up 4.5%).
