Flat 35: Most Frequent Interest Rate Rises for the First Time in Two Months

On the 3rd, the Japan Housing Finance Agency announced the applicable interest rates for "Flat 35" (purchase type) for February 2025, as provided by financial institutions.
For loans with a loan-to-value ratio of 90% or less and a borrowing period of 21 years or more, the interest rate ranges from 1.890% (up 0.030% from the previous month) to 3.570% (no change). The most frequently offered interest rate (most frequent rate) is 1.890% (up 0.030%), marking an increase for the first time in two months.
For loans with a loan-to-value ratio of 90% or less and a borrowing period of 20 years or less, the interest rate ranges from 1.500% (up 0.030% from the previous month) to 3.180% (no change). The most frequent rate is 1.500% (up 0.030%), which also represents an increase for the first time in two months.
