At Home Co., Ltd., a real estate information service, announced on the 18th the results of its ranking titled "What Real Estate Professionals Say! 'Facilities with Increased Inquiries in the Second Half of 2024 – Purchase Edition.'" The survey targeted 707 affiliated stores nationwide (285 for apartments, 422 for single-family homes, with some overlap due to multiple responses) that are assisting users considering the purchase of apartments and single-family homes between July and December 2024. The survey was conducted online from January 16 to 23, 2025.
When asked about facilities with increased inquiries in the second half of 2024, "Parking (including nearby)" topped the list for apartments at 35.4%. In second place, "Elevator" and "Auto-lock" both received 21.8%. Real estate companies commented that "concerns are growing about whether parking can be secured in advance due to overall shortages."
For single-family homes, similar to apartments, "Parking (including nearby)" was the most frequently mentioned at 32.7%. This was followed by "Delivery box" at 12.6% and "Double glazing" at 12.3%. Comments from real estate companies highlighted a growing emphasis on security, stating, "More people are becoming conscious of safety."
