What’s the property buying costs and taxes in Japan?
Generally, it is said that it costs 3-7% of the property price for a new property and 6-10% for a used property.

What’s the difference between old and new earthquake resistance standards?
Old earthquake resistance standards: The standard was that buildings should not collapse in an earthquake of
intensity 5+. New earthquake resistance standards: The standard is that buildings should be able to withstand
little damage even in earthquakes of intensity 6+ to 7. The new earthquake resistance standards came into effect
on June 1, 1981. Real estate that met the earthquake resistance standards before this change is called “old earthquake resistance.
Can I fully renovate a unit or detached house without a permission from the related authorities?
Yes, you can. You can get a property that hasn’t been renovated yet at a low price and customize the room
whatever you like.
Can you recommend an English-speaking contractor to renovate my room?
We do have a construction Dept., so we can continue to handle transactions in English from the buying and selling
stage onwards.
After buying a property, whom to ask to manage my property while I’m away?
We do have a property management Dept., so we will handle all payments such as taxes and dealings with tenants, so you can purchase real estate in Japan with peace of mind while remaining a resident overseas.
